about this site

How this works

A team describes the environments it wants. We set that description against what each RL environment builder publishes, write back with the names that fit, and hold your details until you approve a specific introduction. Our income is a referral fee some builders pay after a contract is signed; teams are never charged.

4 steps

What happens to a brief once it is sent?

  1. Reading the outline

Company ZIP code, contact, and the outline itself: target skills for the agent, an approximate task count, and the rights you want. If a point is unclear, expect a short email with a question or two.

  2. Matching against published work

Each builder's stated focus, the environment types it says it makes, and whatever terms it prints are compared with the outline. The pool is the firms on our companies page, nobody else.

  3. A named shortlist

The reply lists each suitable builder by name, with a link to its site and a sentence on the fit, so your team can do its own reading first.

  4. Your go-ahead

Name, email and outline reach a builder only when you pick it and reply yes. After that the conversation is between your team and theirs.

limits

What do you not do?

  • We never hold, receive, store or look at training data, task files, code or model outputs.
  • Teams pay us nothing, and no money between a team and a builder passes through us.
  • We do not negotiate prices or rights, and we sign nothing on your behalf.
  • No vendor is tested, audited or certified by us. Descriptions rest on each company's own pages, and every page carries the date we checked it.

How is the site paid for?

Revenue comes from one place: some builders pay a referral fee after a team we introduced signs with them. Whether a company pays has no bearing on whether it is listed or how it is described.

How do I contact you?

Use the email address given on the privacy notice, which also explains what is stored and how to erase it. The operator of RL Environment Companies is Joe Trewick trading as Grub Leads.

Questions about the introduction

Do you build RL environments yourselves?
No. We are a reference site and an introduction service. The environments, tasks and graders are built by the vendor you choose, under a contract between you and them.
Will you see our tasks, code or model outputs?
No. The form asks for an outline only, and we ask you not to send files or samples. Anything technical goes straight between you and the vendor once you have agreed to the introduction.
Can I ask you to stop or delete my details?
Yes, whenever you like. The contact address is on the privacy notice; one message is enough for us to erase what you sent.
Does a vendor's fee change who you suggest?
No. We suggest the builders whose published work and terms fit your brief. If none fits, we say so rather than send you to one that pays.

How the site earns: we make introductions, and a builder you later contract with may pay us for yours.
